Sebastian is an Associate on our EU Transaction Team. Prior to joining MiddleGround, Sebastian was an Associate at Bank of America in London within their EMEA Industrials Investment Banking Team. He holds an mphil degree in Finance & Economics from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor’s degree in economics & management from the University of St Andrews.
When describing his role at MiddleGround, Sebastian used the word ‘fate’. While at first this might sound a little dramatic… Sebastian had a few priorities when finding this new role. Firstly, he hoped to experience life outside the UK (with Amsterdam being a dream city). Secondly, Sebastian wanted to utilize his background within industrials in private equity. Finally, his network connected him with Zach Spencer, who directed him towards the ONE available role on MiddleGround’s website at the time. Okay… it does feel eerily like fate. However, Sebastian isn’t all business – he also enjoys staying active with tennis, football (aka soccer), golf, and rowing. While he even considered rowing professionally in college, the daily 5am wake-up calls weren’t too appealing! Aside from sport, Sebastian enjoys cooking and experimenting with different recipes. Forget the scrambled eggs, we’re talking fresh sushi and perfect beef wellington – not quite Heston Blumenthal (yet) but we are eagerly awaiting our dinner party invitations!
