Scottie is a Senior Fabricator based in our Automation office. Like much of our Automation Team, Scottie joins us from Toyota where he worked on manufacturing lines for over 20 years. Throughout his extensive career, he was promoted from the chassis manufacturing line to Production Team Leader and won dozens of awards ranging from his contributions to improving safety on manufacturing lines, to excellence in quality.
As a Kentucky native, Scottie is a huge fan of the outdoors and spends much of his time camping, hunting, or fishing with his family. Scottie grew up tent camping but recently invested in a camper. According to him, the benefits of “roughing it” were outweighed by his achy back after sleeping on the cold, hard ground (we don’t blame him). He’s traveled all over the US; a favorite destination was South Dakota where they camped beneath Mount Rushmore (the one place where the eerie feeling of “someone is watching me” is accurate… and that someone is four US Presidents). His ultimate dream is to retire and drive across the United States, but next on his list is Glacier National Park!
